Well, in the Wal-Mart example above, I believe the company purposely sets standards higher than anyone can meet. Review those metrics. 5,000 boxes and 12-hour days? I suspect the policy saves Wal-Mart from having to give people raises and pay the Workers' Compensation that would inevitably result from repetitive strain injuries over the years. Dunno.
