There is no way in God's green earth that a hurricane
could hit Washigton, DC. The problem is that a
hurricane draws its strength from warm water. the
warmer the water, the more powerful the hurricane.
Once a hurricane hits land it loses it primary source
of energy and "coasts" on it accumulated energy slowly
loosing wind speed until it becomes a tropical storm
and then breaks apart. DC is too far inland. If a
hurricane hits it, it will be very, very weak.
