For the record, alt.m.t has almost since its inception been a hostile debating forum. Shortly after it made its debut on Usenet it was invaded by rabid anti-TMers of a flavor not seen on FFL. John Knapp of Trancenet and Mike Doughney of Minet, among other anti-TM site proprietors; TM-Exers; and Andrew Skolnick, author of the disgraceful TMO "expose" in JAMA, were active participants. That has somewhat died down in the past couple of years, but there are still occasional visitors of that ilk. Plus which, a couple of the regulars, unfortunately, seem to be there only for the purpose of putting down TMers even if they aren't rabidly anti-TM. So it isn't surprising that the tone tends to be vitriolic. However, there are also quite a few very interesting discussions, on a wide range of both spiritual and secular topics, if you take the time to look for them. > Richard Williams declared about a week ago, that > FFL was going to be "conquered", but the alt.med attitude.
