Ebbsolutely. That farmer quoted in the Sept 19th Ledger said that:
"Hog farmer Robert Deutsch says neighbors have nothing to fear about
a 1,200-head hog operation he is building near Pleasant Plain Road
about six miles north of Fairfield city limits.
Deutsch expects to complete building the farrow-to-finishing
operation in the same spot where he had a wean-to-finish operation
since 1980.
Deutsch holds some 500 acres of land, most of it localized
around his home on 145th Street. In earlier statements reportedly
made by Deutsch to neighbors, he suggested he has as many as 20 hog
finishing facilities planned over the next 10 years."
So 20 lots x 1200 hogs= 24,000 hogs, and that is just one farmer.
Any land not within Fairfield or Vedic City limits (or Pleasant
Plain, etc.) could have one of these hog lots without any legal
process necessary, and at least some of those Vedic City houses are
at risk in the near future of being next to several hog lots in
unincorporated county land, which would make all the Vastu in the
world kind of irrelevant.
