Those who have been to Clearlake in Northern California will notice much
of that scenery in Francis Ford Coppola's movie "Twixt". Rated "not for
Turq" because it stars Val Kilmer which is too bad because it is a story
about a writer who visits a small town (played by Kelseyville) for a
book signing. It also stars Bruce Dern as the town Sheriff, Elle
Fanning as a mysterious girl and Ben Chaplin as Kilmer's unusual
"muse." Coppola based the movie on a dream he had when visiting
Istanbul. The movie is sort of a fantasy, horror thriller. Good stuff.

I rented the DVD from Rebox and it can be found on VOD rental sites
though not on Netflix WI (at least yet). There is a fascinating 37
minute extra documentary of the filming on the DVD shot by Coppola's
granddaughter.
