I see it more as a declaration of Maharishi's "My Subjective Experience Rules!" rule, other- wise known as "My subjective experience *defines* the situation. If yours is different, it's wrong." This is a very useful rule, in that it allows those who invoke it to throw around terms like "mantra" that only *they* are allowed to define. It also allows people who haven't actually thought the mantra they were taught as part of learning TM in years, or followed the instructions they were given *when* they learned to claim they're still doing TM. Very useful rule. :-)
