That's one of the main reason I'm still in Central Texas - Austin is the "live music capital of the world."
I'll have to visit. Here in the UK I was a big fan of the "pub-rock" scene in the 70s/80s which despised big-ego stadium bands and concentrated on rockers like Dr Feelgood and Steve Gibbons . . . and then the punk and new-wave bands that followed, including New York reject Wayne County.
