There are many races of people that call themselves "Texans" - San Antonio for example is composed of 63% Hispanic people. They call themselves Tejanos - which is fitting since this used to be Mexico. There are quite a few people around here that call themselves "Creoles", indicating they are of mixed heritage - French Canadian and African American. There have been six flags over Texas. Not to mention the original native inhabitants who called themselves "Tejas", meaning friend. Not all people that live in Texas wear ten gallon hats and carry six-shooters, Bob.
