Important point. The suicide rate for gay teens is still disproportionately
high. It's a lot harder for gay teens to "come to terms with where they're at"
because of a lack of understanding of homosexuality among their peers. Any teen
who is perceived to be different is likely to be persecuted by his or her
classmates, and that's going to leave scars for even the best-adjusted gay
adults.
