Well, the law can't show favoritism or prejudice. If some low life was being 
detained and saw that the Indian woman wasn't strip searched  and they were , 
they would scream that the police unfairly strip searched them because they 
didn't do that to the other. And if that low life happened to be black, Al 
Sharpton would organize  some big protest and make an even bigger issue out of 
it, maybe even accusing the police of rape.

That might make sense if she was busted selling drugs in Times Square but she 
was charged with submitting false documents to obtain a work visa for her 
housekeeper. Is it likely this Indian diplomat would be carrying a concealed 
weapon into the courthouse? Sometimes you've got to use common sense. If the 
law says *everyone* entering the holding cells gets strip searched then the law 
is an ass.
