I always felt sorry for George Harrison. He wrote a corker when he penned "My Sweet Lord". A real original. And yet he still got screwed by the courts over its similarity to the song "He's So Fine". Harrison claimed to have used the out-of-copyright "Oh Happy Day" (listen to it and see if you don't agree). But the court found he had "subconsciously" plagiarised "He's So Fine".
A verdict that must give composers nightmares to this day!
