The David Lynch Foundation will present Ringo Starr with the "Lifetime of

Benson, Ben Harper, Bettye LaVette and Dave Stewart. Veteran rock producer Don

On February 27th, one month after the Ringo Starr Event, the foundation will
present Rick Rubin with the "Lifetime of Harmony Award" at the Beverly Wilshire
Hotel. The Dixie Chicks, Damien Rice, Jake Bugg and others will perform at the
ceremony.
"We want to generate the electricity of peace through music," David Lynch said
in a statement. "And it’s a thrill to know that the super-creative,
enthusiastic musicians of our world are with us to achieve this goal."
The David Lynch Foundation began 10 years ago with an aim to provide
scholarships to teach Transcendental Meditation to at-risk youth in underserved
schools, veterans with post-traumatic stress (PTS), women who are survivors of
domestic violence, and homeless and incarcerated individuals.
Ringo Starr is a longtime proponent of Transcendental Meditation, dating all
the way back to the Beatles

In January 2012, Starr released Ringo 2012, his 16th studio album and
supported it with a world tour featuring Steve Lukather (Toto), Gregg Rolie
(Santana, Journey), Todd Rundgren, Richard Page (Mr. Mister), Mark Rivera and
Gregg Bissonette. Recently, he's been making cameos in cartoons
