Nope, they still live locally. Probably in an apartment. Their son was old enough to leave home to live. I would bet there are plenty of foreclosed homeowners who had houses east facing.

You don't know all the details. Maybe the owner sold the house because he had a new job, or promotion and had to move to another town or state.


Also, the great recession started around July 2008. So, it was good that he sold the house earlier. Otherwise, he might have lost a lot more money than he did.
