Funny you should mention that, because just a few days ago, I moved my exercise
bike from the living room, where it sat unused in front of the 50" Sony, to my
office. Since I mostly watch stuff on my office PC, I figured I'd be more
likely to use the bike in there. The bike noise kinda drowns out the speakers,
so I listen through noise-cancelling headphones, which works really really well.

My home theater also sports an exercise bike so one can watch shows that way.

LOL and good point noozguru about the snoozability of comfy chairs. Maybe
one could keep the ambient room temperature low. That'll keep everyone awake!

A TayVay and DayVayDay player? You're so retro Richard. You need a good
panel HD set, a Blu-Ray player with wifi and maybe a Chromecast or a Roku box.
But then don't forget the surround system with good speakers. I have a set of
Klipsch speakers. Oh and you have to have a house so the subwoofer doesn't
disturb neighbors.

If the chair is too comfy at our age we'll never finish a show <snore>.

The ideal home theater room will have a TV set and a DVD player and a comfy

 First, some definitions:

"Home cinema, also commonly called home theater or home theater, refers to
home entertainment systems that seek to reproduce a movie theater experience
and mood, with the help of video and audio equipment in or outside a private
home."
