Notice the willful distortion in Barry's comments. Lawson did not say he would "feel like a loser" if folks didn't believe what he does. "Losing streak" referred humorously to his perception of his inability to post good slashdot submissions (see the subject heading).
Also, of course, Barry has no evidence that the studies Lawson cites are "bogus research." Nor is it the case that the recent pundit kerfuffle automatically disproves the effectiveness of TM for Africans suffering from PTSD. The situations are rather obviously not comparable. Barry has had a wonderful time dumping on the pundit program--finally, something he can legitimately criticize!--but it clearly hasn't taken the edge off his compulsion to demonize TMers. Dream on. Do you have any idea how pathetic this sounds, that you feel like a "loser" if you can't get people to believe the same crap you believe? The phrase "Get a life" springs to mind. Lawson, you continue to point at bogus "research" supporting TM while ignoring more robust real-time research invalidating it. If TM can't eliminate stress (demonstrated by a tendency to...uh...riot) in people practicing it pretty much all day, every day, it sure isn't going to do anything for Vets.
