Here in the Sarasota-Bradenton area we had been expecting the worst
after 6 days of forecasting but had only some strong gusts, light
rain, not even any coastal flooding. The storm moved very quickly. We
stayed on the line with relatives in Ft. Laud. in the morning because
we were all in the same storm at the same time, until it got much
worse for them as it left us and they lost power. We got one last kick
as it left, late in the afternoon. Our relatives got it so much worse.
It's easier to get a hold of them today. They're still having trouble
getting gasoline. The cold front is a blessing.
