Maharishi School Enrollment Down Front page Fairfield Ledger newspaper reports the Maharishi School (k-12) enrollment dropped to 255 students this year. Is this just demographics or really is the School committee sending too much of its tuition resource to disappear over in Voldrop to allow the school to flourish any longer?
It used to be that the school was a flag-ship of the meditating community here that would attract people to move to Fairfield. Symtomatic of a general problem in the TMO, has MMY and the administration bled off too much of the school's monies to allow it now to function as the really good school program that it was? Beyond sweating it to death as they have, are they now effectively bledding it to death? Beyond this dwindle, what is the town to do? Is it time for an attempt at a little truth-and-reconciliation coming forth from the local administration, if not from MMY? What are the numbers, where does the money go?
