Perhaps sometime in the 80's or 90's, Mike

Bloomfield, or some such guy, told on a 

TV documentary, that he still hasn't figured

out how Hendrix created some of the weird

sounds without that much effect gadgetry

(just Octavia, fuzz-box and wah-wah, in

addition to creative use of feed-back?).

I've often thought if it was possible that 

Jimi's intensive emotions during playing

somehow could "distort" the sounds without

his conscious effort to do so... naah!
