You assert this but what little evidence there is says differently. 

 Now, we can't possibly know if a specific incident attributed to PTSD could 
have been prevented by learning TM, or mindfulness, or any other therapy 
thought to affect PTSD in a positive way, but, assuming that the actions below 
WERE at last partly due to PTSD, TM *might* have helped, and, on a purely 
statistical basis, it might have been more likely to help than mindfulness or 
cognitive therapy.
 

 And that's a good thing.
 

 Research on PTSD is becoming far more sophisticated. There's genetic and 
epigenetic issues that are coming to light that may someday help guide 
therapists in deciding which therapy or therapies will be most effective in 
dealing with PTSD. It might be, in some specific case, that mindfulness or 
cognitive therapies or drugs or some combination thereof, will be more 
effective than TM, but for now, the pure statistical numbers game suggests 
that, without more detailed data specific to an individual, TM appears to be 
the best single therapy for PTSD.
