But the mantras in TM are, in the usual sense of the
term, meaningless. They don't literally mean anything
in sanscrit (at least the 1st technique). Now, they
are associated with particular devatas or more
accurately thay are the seed-sound form of the devata.
So, they don't mean anything, but they are the devata!
