Anyone who gives him posthumous respect is either naive or an idiot.
You can say this until you are blue in the face but it hasn't
convinced anyone here that it is so if they didn't already believe it.
Think of it like this: as much as those who believe in MMY and TM have
spoken about his goodness and the benefit of meditation it hasn't
changed how you think about those things. Now just reverse that and
try and understand no matter how many times you say it, those who
don't feel like you do are not going to believe it just because you
say so. As for me, I don't care about whether MMY was "a user and
manipulator in addition to being a con artist" but if you've got any
concrete evidence other than the fact that others in his Movement have
abused their power and stolen money or that MMY acted like a normal
human being and had sex then I'd be happy to look at it. But even if I
were to come to agree with you about Maharishi it wouldn't change
anything for me because I still learned tons at MIU and I enjoyed TM
for a while and it expanded my vision and gave me some useful and
memorable life experiences.
