It is not the end of democracy. Maybe we have extended democracy too far. The results are bad if you start to raise kids with democratic principles. Instead of giving them firm limits and rules, you have a vote with them about the proper time to go to bed etc.
With the refugees I'm ready to sacrifice democracy. Many of those people don't respect democratic values themselves. Therefore some consideration should be given to the idea that full democratic rights are not given to them either. They are much less independently thinking responsibly functioning individuals than the westerners. Regularly, when somebody participates in terrorism, there is a lot of manipulation behind for example by family, who may get paid for by sacrificing one of their family members.
