Yes astrology is very much a psychic weather report about conditions we
just barely understand the that have a psychological impact on the
public. We get 11 year sun cycles with somewhat coincide with Jupiter
returns. There are researchers studying the effects of sun flares on
the human psyche. They're electromagnetic and we're just beginning to
understand how electromagnetic impulses can influence influence our minds.

Looking into the future with astrology is basically a useless
exercise, when it comes down to predicting specific events. Especially
the sort of disaster you are mentioning here. Astrology may give a
basic weather report, but the outcome of any future event is far too
dynamic, to see accurately. I don't doubt its helpfulness in
determining auspicious dates, if one is so inclined, but seeing into
the future? Useless.
