John reaches these conclusions because he confuses the old and poor quality cosmological explanations of our ancestors, who formulated myths to explain things and were happy with them as they had no way of testing to see if they were right, with new knowledge that is hard won by scientific means. He seems not to be able to tell them apart or ascribes importance to them when they don't deserve it. They aren't knowledge at all, I'd no more take the vedas seriously than I would Genesis in the bible.
