Sure Barry, whatever you say.

But, ain't it also a little strange, that someone is still so obsessed with a
teacher they left 40 years ago, that they continue to write things about him
everyday.

Where does that fit, in the "rabbit hole" spectrum. (-:

I'm not going to comment on how insane this rap is, or how pathetic and
guru-whipped anyone who believed it would be. I'll allow those who feel like
going down that rabbit hole to do so.

My only reply is to jamesalan735's comment that this blurb is "exactly as I
remember Maharishi." I can't agree. The "tip off" for me that all of this is
coming directly from George's imagination and has nothing whatsoever to do with
Maharishi is that I don't remember Maharishi EVER speaking in a manner like
this -- as if the TM teachers were his "family" and as if he cared about them.

NEVER. Not even once. Having sat in rooms with him many times over many years,
I don't remember him even once speaking this way, as if he honestly CARED about
the people he had made TM teachers. The way he *treated* TM teachers was the
exact opposite of caring about them -- his many decisions and pronouncements
fucking them over and throwing them under the bus when they no longer served
his purpose over the course of 50 years reveals, in fact, the exact opposite of
what George fantasizes here.

I have to believe that all of this -- and *especially* the parts about
Maharishi feeling any emotion whatsoever about the people he made TM teachers
-- is just George's fantasy. Whether conscious or subconscious, it's the sort
of fantasy that children brought up by abusive parents come up with: "He
*really* loved me, even though his actions don't seem to indicate that he did."

Don't get me wrong -- there is *definitely* material enough for a dozen PhD
theses in Psychology in George's raps in this document and others on the
website. But in my honest opinion none of that material has much to do with
Maharishi. This IMO is all stuff that came out of George's head -- fantasies
that stoke the fires of his own self-importance and his need to feel he was
"loved back" by Maharishi.

I'm suggesting that the "tell" that all of this IS George's fantasy and has
nothing to do with Maharishi -- living or dead -- is that it doesn't really
seem to have anything to do with how Maharishi regarded his teachers and
treated them when he was alive. IMO, this is all a fantasy based on how George
*wishes* it had been.

I don't mean to argue with jamesalan735's feelings to the contrary, but this
rap really DOESN'T sound like Maharishi to me. If he can cite actual *examples*
of Maharishi treating his TM teachers as if they were "family" or his "friends"
and as if he actually cared about them, I'd love to hear about them.

It's eerie. I can just hear MMY talking as I read this - tone, words,
cadence, etc., is exactly as I remember Maharishi.

And the sign off at the end? Pure MMY
