No, you called it right Mike. MJ is so deeply invested in his MMY obsession that any description of it you throw against the wall is going to stick.
Hatred, myopic, fanatic. They all stick. ---In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, <mdixon.6569@...> wrote : WHAAAAAT? "having been accused of hating Marshy before.... not true" Hatred, no.... Sick SOB. Michael, go read the definition of hatred then read your posts about Marshy. If you want to hate or dislike for someone to such a level of name calling, that's OK with me but please don't try to convince me or anybody else that you don't exhibit hatred for him. It just insults our *collective intelligence". I use the term *our* because I assume most people would agree with me in this. Of course if somebody thinks I'm wrong, feel free to chime in. Maybe my perception is skewed as a TB. From: "Michael Jackson mjackson74@... Having been accused of hating Marshy here before, I answer as I did then. Not true. Do I have contempt for him, you bet. But hatred, no, he's not worth that much energy. I tell it like it is and that is the size of it. And by the way Bhai, your trips to India don't make you an expert on everything in the Universe as you seem to think. It doesn't even make you an expert on India or Marshy. As screwed up as India is, fortunately for it not everyone there behaves as Marshy did, not everyone is as screwed up as the Indian who said in his prison interview that he raped a 5 year old because she was a beggar child and therefore her life had no value. Marshy was as he was because he was a self serving narcissistic con man. He deserves no laudations for much of anything except being a great speaker and a very successful con man. With your give the guy a free pass cuz he's Indian mentality you might as well say we should ignore Bill Cosby's enormities with women cuz he's a great entertainer. No question that he IS a great entertainer, and also a sick SOB. From: "Bhairitu noozguru@... MJ seems quite a bit OCD about it. Must be debilitated Ketu aspecting his ascendant lord Mercury. ;-) You and I have been to India. You twice and me once. We know a different reality than MJ. And I wonder what MJ would think if he heard the little rap I heard (and wished I'd recorded on video) at the Katakali Dance Theater in Cochin. I had the current "state of the art" Sony small PC7 video camera with me and recorded some of the dance sequences and explanations of those. To me some of the things MMY did is just MMY "being Indian" which is not going to be clear unless you've been to India and maybe hung out with Indians even here in the US. I even managed Indian employees at the software company I worked. Recently I've been reading from cover to cover Swami Sivananda Radha's "Mantras Words of Power". I've had the book for years but only read sections of it. Swami Radha was a German woman who studied with Swami Sivananda and later moved to the US and then Canada. It is an excellent look at mantras from the standpoint of a western mind. Sad thing is during the 1980s she apparently lived in Spokane, Washington and I frequently had to make trips there to take my mother to a specialist and wound up with time to kill. I would have enjoyed talking with her. http://www.amazon.com/Mantras-Words-Swami-Sivananda-Radha/dp/1932018107 http://www.amazon.com/Mantras-Words-Swami-Sivananda-Radha/dp/1932018107 On 03/07/2015 10:38 AM, Mike Dixon mdixon.6569@... mailto:mdixon.6569@... I think a lot of people may have felt disappointed by him at one time but that's because we put him on a very high pedestal, almost god-like and then we saw he was just a man like anybody else and maybe that pedestal didn't need to be that high. I know most people on this forum probably get annoyed at Biblical references but it does say that *all men have fallen short of the glory of God" which is holiness. Just because you're not perfect doesn't mean you don't have anything to offer. One thing that you didn't master through TM is... let it go and take it as it comes. You know, Marshy once said "even a doctor can heal people while he is sick". Not saying M was sick but whatever imperfections he had didn't stop him from helping others with even more. Your anger seems to be because he wasn't perfect and that disappoints you. Ask yourself *who is*. Go learn from them and I'd bet they would tell you to *let it go and take it as it comes*. Maybe your attitude is still that "We can't find no fault with Marshy cuz if we do our entire house of cards falls apart" You especially can't handle the thought that your time at MIU was spent shoring up a deceitful movement that existed exclusively to lionize a huckster and make him and his buddies wealthy. This is why women who were abused by many spiritual teachers in many spiritual movements failed to report the abuse. On one level they were True Believers who had been taken advantage of, but on another they were still True Believers, and didn't want to "let the spiritual movement they were part of down" by telling the truth.
