That's pretty much the way it goes with Buckheimer's shows. Passable entertainment but nothing spectacular. I just found the subject interesting enough to see what they were going to do with it.

I agree. The characters are wooden and stereotyped. I mean, c'mon, they couldn't come up with something more original than the head neckbeard *literally* being a neckbeard? That said, I'm still gonna watch it and see how long I can stand it. I'm used to bad acting in the CSI franchise, but this one completely lacks the entertainment value of HoCaine and the SoJ (for the non-hipsters, that's Horatio Caine and the Sunglasses of Justice.)

We have another "agree to disagree" series here. I thought this was TERRIBLE, with a capital Ick. Bad writing, bad music, bad casting, and bad ideas. I turned it off after ten minutes. BTW, it's called "CSI Cyber," not "Cyber." TERRIBLE. Won't even last the full season IMO.

Another new series is CBS's "Cyber" with Patricia Arquette. I watched it last night. Jerry Buckheimer does know how to show run so I suspect it will do well though not ever achiever excellence. I had seen the trial episode of it where Arquette's character was involved in a crime investigation on CSI. I was surprised that the writers did do some homework and the tech was not as far-fetched as some of the tech the CSI folks had.
