That's a good one! Thanks. One quite interesting fact about Schrödinger's thought experiment about his dead-and-alive cat is that he meant it as a sceptical attack on quantum mechanics. No one could take seriously the idea of a cat being dead AND alive at the same time, he thought. He hadn't reckoned on sixties' acid heads with blown minds going: "a cat that's both alive and dead at the same time! Cool! I'm off to an Indian ashram".
