QUESTIONS FROM THE PRESS: NOVEMBER 16, 2005 Maharishi, National Public Radio in the United States recently reported that deaths due to war in the first half of the twentieth centuryfrom 1900 to 1950were very high. In fact, war deaths totaled more than four percent of the world population. But this terrible death rate has dropped by about ninety-eight percent during the second half of the twentieth century, between 1950 and 2000. This corresponds to the fifty years of Maharishi's teaching of Transcendental Meditation throughout the world. My question for Maharishi is: If you have achieved this already, what will be the impact of your knowledge on the world during the next fifty years?
