At my most charitable I think all this stuff is a simple folie a deux but
then I think about Hagelin's level of expertise in physics and I think he knows
for sure that it is complete BS. But to publicly admit that fact would destroy
the TMO and undo all his supposed enlightenment he got at the feet of Maharshi
who probably really did believe it. Or believed that it could make money for
the movement anyway. But once he had done the "The Secret" the cat was out of
the bag as far as his turning away from scientific credibility was concerned
and so why not go the whole hog and get some money for selling prayers?

I also think that's it's deeply cynical of him to use his former career as a
theoretical physicist to make absurd claims like this. I sent the link to loads
of people, physics bloggers and working scientists I know. They all had a good
laugh but no one cares really, this stuff has a very small intended audience,
if it wasn't for the fact that it helps dupe hard working people to give money
to yagya's instead of doing something useful with it makes me very angry.

A sceptic might say that if God didn't want them sheared he would not have
made them sheep but I'm not that bad, I want it stopped because of some of the
people I know who had no money but spent it on yagya's anyway. It's a
calculated scam even if barely anyone involved knows that. But John Hagelin
does, of that I am sure.
