There are no "Neo-Advaitans" on this list. There are at least three Advaita
proponents, so far as I can tell. In the Upanishads, there are Shankara and his
guru Gaudapada to support the Advaita tradition and Advaitans include the whole
host of Advaitins after Shankara up to and including the Ramana Maharshi.

Excerpt from Mandukya Karika IV by Gaudapada:

"Duality is only an appearance; non-duality is the real truth. The object
exists as an object for the knowing subject; but it does not exist outside of
consciousness because the distinction of subject and object is within
consciousness." (IV 25-27) Sharma, p. 245-246.

I share your scepticism but maybe these Neo-Advaitans really are on to
something and there's a presence in the air that is leading to a gradual
awakening. I certainly hope so. This new crop of non-dualists don't come across
as vicious or pretentious or victims of cult mentality. I've yet to come across
one who has recanted his or her previous insight. The jury is till out.

Another "Advaitin" like most of the Batgappers. (a claimant to Enlightenment,
but I doubt it)
Says that his main approach was "neti neti" but the last stage of his quest
was inspired by a frog that he saw while climbing Mt.
