The Navarna mantra is addressed to Durga and Kali, the latter being born from 
the 3rd eye of Durga to defeat the demons Chanda (representing too much); and 
Mund (representing too little).  The idea is that either extreme can be 
adharmic.
 ...The notion of coming to a "Golden Ratio" or ideal point between too much 
and too little can be represented by rational fraction convergences to the 
Golden Ratio which is .6180339.....   The convergences to this constant are:
 1/1, 1/2, 2/3, 3/5, 5/8, 8/13, 13/21,....etc where numerators and denominators 
are Fibonacci numbers. - such that a(n) = a(n-1) + a(n-2); i.e. start with 1, 
1, then sum last two terms = 2, getting 1, 1, 2, then (1 + 2) = 3, and so on: 
(1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21,...)
 ...
 In any even, the convergents are alternately too much and too little. E.g. 1/1 
is greater than .618...while the next term (1/2) = .500... is too little.  2/3 
is greater, while 3/5 is too little.  Eventually the terms get closer to 
.6180339...the Golden Ratio. (a metaphor for Kali, the Goddess who destroys the 
demons of "Too Much" and "Too Little".
 ....Doctors among others) should be very familiar with the concept of too much 
and too little (drugs for example if not administered in the proper amount can 
lead to devastating results).
