A pitifully inadequate response. A guy shoots dead nine people in a church and a governor says, take down a flag! We need drastic gun control now! This is a serious civil rights issue. The gun nuts may rant about their 2nd Amendment rights, but their precious 2nd Amendment is dripping in blood and has been for a long time. What about my rights as an ordinary citizen to walk the streets, go to the mall, go to church, without the fear of getting shot? We need a mass, citizens-inspired movement that will make the government fulfill its responsibilities to protect our safety. No guns for anyone unless they have a very compelling reason to own one. There is no compelling reason to own a gun unless you live in the wilderness and need to hunt game for food. Period.
