I think this is one of the things that people here who
doubt the sincerity of these women may never have exper-
ienced first-hand.  If you haven't ever been on the
receiving end of the kind of energy that gets focused
on those who pull the curtain back on the wizard in a
spiritual group, you have no way of understanding how
nasty and painful (even physically) it can be. *Nothing*
feels as psychically damaging as the energy sent to you
by someone who has had his or her cherished notions
about spirituality challenged. I've actually spent time
with murderers while teaching in a prison years ago, 
and I can assure you that you get a better vibe from
them than you get from everyday meditators who are 
reacting to a spiritual whistleblower.
