Have you and conservatives in general always disliked the French or is that just fashionable now because they wouldn’t join this war?
I can only speak for myself. I just find the French too easy to take an occasional poke at. I have found them a little arrogant and condescending over the course of my life. I guess Charles De Gualle gave me my first impression of the French and it hasn't improved since. I think getting them to join in the regime change of Saddam would have been asking a little much of the French even  if Iraq would have had stock piles of WMD's and they had been found. Personally I wouldn't have trusted them since Saddam was such a good customer of theirs. I think one post on this thread may have indicated that I would consider the French my enemy because they don't agree with me. I would not call them my enemy but I would also refrain from calling them my ally. Maybe a distant friend or acquaintance.
