Re "Why on earth would you be thinking the Maharishi Effect would be favoring Trump for president in the first place?": I was being cute. My (ironic) point was that the (alleged) Maharishi Effect should surely have Trump bottom of the poll! That's only if you think the Laws of Nature would abhor someone like Trump. I have come to learn that you never can tell what nature really would like to have happen. The most distasteful things can be conduits to something better and brighter so Trump might be the best answer in the long run. I don't think so but what do I really know? I don't have my finger on the pulse of the Maharishi Effect. Mind you, MMY's pronouncements on politics suggest he had a dismal view of mass democracy and he would prefer a society led by an elite group of enlightened sages. Plato had a similar view. Looking at the dire state of the political class in both the UK and the USA at the moment I'm starting to wonder if they might have been on to something . . . ---In [email protected], <authfriend@...> wrote : S3raphita, get your dates in order. The election isn't for another 13 months; the parties' presidential candidates won't be nominated until this summer. Anything can happen between now and then.
