Behold; Debbie Wasserman-Schultz’s disastrous answer about Bernie losing the NH
delegate count

By now you’re probably aware that Bernie Sanders absolutely trounced Hillary
Clinton in New Hampshire. If you know that, you most likely also know that -
despite his win - the DNC has arranged things to guarantee Bernie will receive
less delegates than the former First Lady. In short, thanks to Democrat party
rules, Bernie won and lost at the same time.

So, CNN’s Jake Tapper decided to ask DNC chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz a
seemingly simple question: “What do you tell voters who are new to the process
who say this makes them feel like it’s all rigged?”
Wasserman-Schultz’s answer is tortured, convoluted, and basically an admission
that “yes” it’s totally rigged.

WASSERMAN-SCHULTZ: Let me just make sure I can clarify what was available
during the primaries in Iowa and New Hampshire. The unpledged delegates are a
separate category. The only thing available on the ballot in a primary and a
caucus is the pledged delegates, those that are tied to the candidate that they
are pledged to support and they receive a proportional number of delegates
going into our convention.

Unpledged delegates exist, really, to make sure that party leaders and elected
officials don’t have to be in a position where they are running against
grassroots activists. We are, as a Democratic Party, really highlight and
emphasize inclusiveness and diversity at our convention and we want to give
every opportunity to grassroots activists and diverse committed Democrats to be
able to participate, attend and be a delegate at the convention and so we
separate out those unpledged delegates to make sure that there isn’t
competition between them.

Wait a minute, doesn’t “unpledged delegates exist, really, to make sure that
party leaders and elected officials don’t have to be in a position where they
are running against grassroots activists” basically confirm that, yep, we want
you to turn out, but we don’t care what you say?

Didn’t Debbie just admit that it doesn’t really matter what the “grass roots”
wants? The party has selected it’s 2016 candidate and her name is Hillary
Clinton. They’re willing to pretend that the “activists” matter, but they’re
not really interested in whatever crackpot you feel like voting for. You might
like Bernie, but they owe Hillary.

From there, the answer devolves into a word-salad of attacks against the GOP
and a rah-rah booster club Powerpoint about the Dems data-mining capabilities.

The fact remains: Debbie Wasserman Schultz just admitted that her party is
built to blot out the wishes of its own socialist base.

Congrats Bernie supporters. Here’s hoping you remember this when they tell you
its time to ‘do your duty’ and vote for Hillary.
