Circa 100 BCE to about 1000 CE (but morphed into other trends of thought and practices); but basically an underground type of Jewish Mysticism based originally on Ezekiel's Ascent to the Throne of God (the Judaeo and later Christian God YHVH). There are several living proponents of Merkabah Mysticism accessible via ordinary search methods, with offerings on Youtube. One is Lewis Keizer, website: http://www.HomeTemple.org http://www.HomeTemple.org Naturally, the few advocates of such practices are offering various services for sale....but I'd guess that among such services, the ability to actually travel to the Throne of "God" by using the Merkabah, is a skill not easily acquired, and I would view with a Skeptical eye any claims to the contrary.
