Pence twice claimed that “less than ten cents on the dollar in the Clinton
Foundation has gone to charitable causes.”

Various news outlets and fact-checking websites have explained, more than
once, why this assertion is malicious and wrong. By now Pence must know that
and yet he insistently slandered the foundation, its staff, its donors, and its
beneficiaries.

Mike Pence repeatedly made statements that were easily checked and found to be
false -- including his banal slurs against the Clinton Foundation.

It's strange, but the media seems to think that Pence "won" last night. I have
to heartily disagree. Not only was he unable to effectively defend Trump with
anything other than rolling his eyes and shaking his head, he was full of lies,
not only about things like the Clinton foundation, but with his refusal to
admit all of the things that Trump had said, as asserted by Kaine, were in fact
things Trump had said. Pence's school-marmish monotone sounded condescending
and uninspired but all the media can talk about is his unflappability. I didn't
find Pence effective at anything other than generally not losing his homogenous
manner.
