 Attempt at "clarification":
 

 vRttiH \-\-\- kAyaH pA~ncha-bhautikaM sharIram .
tasya AkAshena avakAsha-dAyakena yaH sambandhas tatra saMyamaM vidhAya laghuni 
tUla+Adau samApattiM tanmayI-bhAva-lakShaNAM vidhAya prApta ati-laghu-bhAvo
yogI prathamaM yathA-ruchi jale saMcharaNa(?)-krameNa UrNa-nAbha-tantu-jAlena
saMcharamANa Aditya-rashmibhish cha viharan yathaa iShTam AkAshena gachChati ..

 Have one translation of that suutra. The bolded part goes in it like this: 
...he walks at will, on the earth[sic!] at first and subsequently... But the 
original Sanskrit word is jale, in/on water! Seems like the translator has 
wanter to avoid any association with Jesus Christ!? LOL
