Thx,....statements like this should be put into a proper perspective. As to
the Hagelin Premise where he basically says that peace follows from the ME
which is "peer reviewed" and supported by "statistics"; which "peers" is he
talking about, and who collected the stats. If Dr. Hagelin is reading this,
kindly provide the reference(s) on the peer reviewed journals, if any.
Does Dr. Hagelin have any credibility in mainstream science outside of the TMO
and a few TM practitioners in Academia.??
First, check Wikipedia for the entry on John Hagelin to find the answers to
these questions.

Second, recall that Dr. Hagelin received the IG Noble Prize in Peace for 19994
for the ME. This Prize is awarded to the research which is the most Ignoble in
the field, but no problem - he shares his Peace award with a literature award
given to L. Ron Hubbard. The "IG" may refer to a. some flaws in the
accumulation of data, but more often: b. come ridiculous conclusion from data
twisted in an irrational manner to support an ulterior motivation other than
pure science.

 From Minet.org:
PEACE John Hagelin of Maharishi University and The Institute of Science,
Technology and Public Policy, promulgator of peaceful thoughts, for his
experimental conclusion that 4,000 trained meditators caused an 18 percent
decrease in violent crime in Washington, D.C. [Details were published in
"Interim Report: Results fo the National Demonstration Project To Reduce
Violent Crime and Improve Governmental Effectiveness In Washington, D.C., June
7 to July 30, 1993," Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy,
Fairfield, Iowa.]

Dr. Hagelin needs some retracing to mop up the weight of non-credibility he
acquired back in the 90's.
If you're reading this, Dr. Hagelin, feel free to jump in and rebut.
