The correlates of consciousness seem to show, and can be measured, but they do not actually show that consciousness exists,
-------------- FWIW, that seems to apply also to, say, Higgs field, doesn't it?? The collision of protons, or whatever, creates rare(?) elementary particles that are predicted to be associated(?) with Higgs field??
