Thursday! Right to Harm JFAN's Efforts in Iowa Featured in National Documentary Exposing How Factory Farms Impact Communities THURSDAY, JUNE 20 at 7:15 pm Fairfield Arts & Convention Center 200 N. Main Street, Fairfield, IA Right to Harm, is a powerful new documentary on the public health, environmental, and quality of life impacts of factory farm by award-winning filmmakers Matt Wechsler and Annie Speicher (SUSTAINABLE). The film documents the ongoing battle with factory farms in Iowa as well as in Wisconsin, North Carolina, Arizona, and Delmarva. It chronicles the failures of state agencies to adequately regulate industrial agriculture and the actions taken by disenfranchised citizens to demand justice from their legislators. The Iowa segment includes scenes from public events in Fairfield, conversations with agricultural economist Dr. John Ikerd, and follows the work of JFAN President and Executive Director Diane Rosenberg who is also an Iowa Consultant with Socially Responsible Agricultural Project. Iowa County resident Gary Netser's experiences living near a CAFO are also highlighted.
