The Total Natural law is same for everyone, no matter where you are in this Universe. India has learnt this lesson the hard way. india also like other countries, has to meditate and gain coherence in consciousness. It does not happen easily as the situation in India proves.
Indians also has to face the same ignorance as other peoples all over the world. The same Jealousy, the same Greed, the same Anger, the same Lust, the same Arrogance, etc etc.
People all over the world are essentialy the same. Very little difference at all. Exc. Bevan Morris said, "The era of Nationalism and narrow-minded Patriotism is over."

I would say instead that Bob was committed to the desperate path of trying to find something, *anything* in the world to
justify his continuing belief in Maharishi. If he were to admit that Maharishi has gone 'round the bend and is acting like a lunatic, it might indicate that he (Bob) has wasted his time, energy and money for decades by believing in him. Can't have that. Better to scour the Internet for something, *anything* to justify his by-now irrational belief in Maharishi and allow it to go on one more day...
