Rick, Well, the discussion references your response to the question, "How many of them has Maharishi proclaimed as fully enlightened?" to which you answered, "The only person I've ever heard him say that about is Tony Nader."
For Maharishi's proclamation of Tony is it your understanding Mharishi was referring to Brahman or CC? Further, the term enlightenment was referenced in the point I made that "either Maharishi i) doesn't find a value in proclaiming his students enlightened, or ii) per his standards, few or none actually are." To which you answered, "I have to admit that I think Amma would agree with him on both points." To be more specific, do you believe both or either Maharishi and/or Amma would agree that i) they find little value in proclaiming their students to be Brahman Realized, but do find value in proclaiming their students to be in CC? If so, how mnay have they proclaimed to be in CC? ii) per their standards, few or none actually are in Brahman but some or many are in CC? If so, why do they not state that many of their followers are in CC? (Assuming the answer to i) was "no".) --- In [email protected], Rick Archer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > on 1/4/06 3:24 PM, a_non_moose_ff at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > > > > Though you seem more cautious in your statements today Rick, as I > > remember, you have spoken in the past of many in FF becoming awakened > > and many sitting around FF satsangs popping into enlightenment weekly. > > > > Yet if Maharishi and Amma both appear to hold the above, that they > > > > i) don't find a value in proclaiming their students as enlightened, or > > ii) per their standards, few or none actually are > > > > > > i) then do you hold views counter to Maharishi and Amma? > > > > ii) if so, what is your reasoning / understanding / experience that > > makes you hold such views? > > > > iii) or have your views on the FF Awakening scene become more catious > > and conservative with time? > > > > (I am sincerely interested, I am not being argumentative, in case > > thats not clear.) > > I think it depends on how we define enlightenment.
