Not Jyotir math, but I have been to two other Shankaracharian Maths
and they were pretty basic and simple.

So is the Jyotir Math that Guru Dev built. One large building made with rock and heavy timber and a tin roof. Enough rooms for a few monks to stay there and a large meeting hall. I think there might have been two stories with maybe about 3,000 to 4,000 total square feet. The Architecture reminded me a lit bit of a Tibetan Buddhist monistary.
