The nice thing about lineage is it means there's more than one. People get attached to their teachers. It's rare to get all your answers from one person and the beauty of lineage is you get to see how the teaching has blossomed in others and their unique angle -- hopefully you become your own piece of the tradition in the process. And there's a blessing in lineage if you know how to invoke it.
