You may be right about the 2500 dollars being the final nail instead of the cause, but the TMO took a stab at positioning TM as the high priced brand for the elite and failed. The problem is that a potential seeker/customer has no way to discriminate between TM and other techniques. I've seen people very enthusiastic about TM shut down and never mention it again when they hear the price or look at the TM.org websites and see all the gold and crowns and stuff. I do talk about TM occasionally, but it's become embarassing to recommend it. The local Unity church minister is a long time meditator. The last time I saw her she asked me what's happening to the TM Org? The only thing that I could say is that, "I don't know". She wanted me to speak about TM at the church.
