If the TMO was truly an organization bent on bringing enlightenment to the world, defending people loyal to the TMO might be a lot easier. However, over so many years, the TMO has lost that image of trying to bring enlightenment to the world and has gained an image of power hungry, money grubbing people out to make themselves rich through a cult operation. The innocence has been lost, nobody trusts anybody and we see the head of the TMO spewing hatred for people he doesn't like, Caviling about people he doesn't know, spreading rumors,and vowing to topple governments that won't give him *baksheesh*.
