I wouldn't consider being on the opposite side of an issue from 
Mahatma Gandhi as necessarily a bad thing.

His brand of so-called "non-violence" was about as non-violent as 
that Dalai Llama character's is.

For all their talk of non-violence a whole mess of violence 
resulted...
